Welcome to Year Three
The class teachers are Mrs Burn and Mrs Harris.
Mrs Burn teaches the class on a Monday and Tuesday and Mrs Harris teaches the class Wednesday to Friday.
The children are supported by our Teaching Assistant Miss Sage.
PE Day is every Wednesday.
Our class saint is Saint Winifred and we celebrate her feast day on 3rd November.
Welcome to Year 3
Homework
In Year 3 we set homework for English, reading or science and Maths on Atom Learning every Friday to be handed in the following Wednesday and will let you know what the homework is using Marvellous Me.
Reading
Please remember to hear your child read several times per week and write a comment on the Boom Reader app before returning books to school on Fridays ready to be changed. Nb only mark a book as complete if your child has read it.
Weekly revision tests-
Children will have a weekly arithmetic test on a Monday. On a Friday children will have a weekly times table test and a weekly spellings test. Spellings will be sent out at the start of each half-term.
PE Day is every Wednesday.
Please send your child to school in their St Johns PE kit every Wednesday.
No jewellery is to be worn and hair longer than shoulder length should always be tied up. Earrings should be removed or covered in tape before coming to school.
Each half term the children will have the opportunity to participate in Forest School. Parents will be informed of the dates nearer the time via Marvellous Me.
